Congratulations Year 12 2023

The young men and women of Year 12, 2023, have achieved outstanding HSC results. With 50% of their course entries achieving a Band 6, Sydney Science College would have ranked 8th for overall success rate on the Sydney Morning Herald league table, but as a small school with fewer than 150 course entries, we were ineligible for official ranking. This follows the success of our inaugural Year 12 class of 2022, which also unofficially placed 8th in the state with a median ATAR of 96.6. We had 20% of our students achieve an ATAR of 99 or more, 40% with an ATAR of 95 or more, and 100% with ATARs over 88.

More rewarding as educators than any ranking is seeing every one of our students gain entry to their dream degrees – Advanced Science, Aerospace Engineering, and Medicine to name a few – and knowing that they begin this new journey with the confidence, resilience and independent learning skills that will see them thrive at university and in their future STEM careers.
