Outstanding HSC results in 2024.

We congratulate our Year 12 2024 students and the staff who worked so hard together to achieve outstanding success in the HSC. Among our small cohort of eight Year 12s, two students were listed as All Rounders for achieving top band results (90% and above) in at least 10 units. An additional two students would be All Rounders when including accelerated subjects completed in 2023. One student earned a place on the Top Achievers list, ranking 10th in the state for Chemistry, and seven students from the School featured on the Distinguished Achievers list.

The highest ATAR achieved was 99.80, setting a new school record, while a median ATAR of 95.95 places Sydney Science College among the top 10 schools in the state. The school would have ranked 11th for success rate according to The Sydney Morning Herald league table, but with fewer than 150 course entries was ineligible for an official ranking. In Mathematics Advanced, Extension 1 and 2, we were unofficially the 2nd top-performing school in NSW, with 82% of students achieving marks over 90.
